Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Korean Diary AI (the "Service"), operated by Jaeho Chung ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

Korean Diary AI is an AI-powered writing correction tool for learners of Korean. You submit Korean-language text, and the Service returns grammar corrections, natural-expression suggestions, and a learning summary.

AI corrections are generated automatically and are provided for reference and educational purposes only. They are not a substitute for review by a qualified human translator, teacher, or professional proofreader, and we do not guarantee that any correction is complete, accurate, or free of errors.

Free plan: 10 corrections on your signup day (UTC), and 3 corrections per day (UTC) thereafter, for as long as you keep a Free account.

Pro (Monthly $9/mo, Annual $79/yr): unlimited corrections, full writing history, and additional features as described on the Pricing page at the time of purchase.

We may change free-plan limits or plan features going forward; changes will not retroactively reduce what you already paid for during an active billing period.

Paid subscriptions are billed in advance via Stripe and renew automatically until cancelled.

You may cancel anytime from your account settings. Your Pro access continues until the end of the current billing period; we do not provide prorated refunds for mid-cycle cancellations.

Refund requests outside the above policy are handled on a case-by-case basis — contact kdiaryai.help@gmail.com.

You retain ownership of the diary entries and text you submit. By submitting text, you grant us a limited license to process it (including sending it to our AI provider) solely to provide and improve the Service.

Do not submit content that is unlawful, infringes on others' rights, or contains sensitive personal data you would not want processed by a third-party AI model.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information at signup, including your Korean level.

You agree not to misuse the Service — including attempting to circumvent usage limits, scraping or reverse-engineering the Service, or using it to generate content for unlawful purposes.

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI corrections will be accurate or suitable for any particular purpose (including exam preparation such as TOPIK).

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including reliance on AI-generated corrections.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date below. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
